What are our Objectives?

  • Be the officially recognised medium of communication and negotiation between the members and their employers in employment matters.
  • Protect and promote the collective interests of members in all matters arising from employment.
  • Act as an advisor and provide assistance for members where a dispute arises which may lead to personal grievance with the employer, subject to any conditions imposed by the Committee.
  • Provide advice on employment-related matters and arrange legal advice, if required by or for members.
  • Represent the interests of staff in any employment-related matter being reviewed or altered by the employer, e.g. the Performance Review system or advice on Employment legislation, if required.
  • Act in good faith in its dealings with, and in relation to, its members and employers on behalf of its members and foster a spirit of goodwill between its members and their employers.
  • Operate at all times for the benefit of its members and independently of any of the employer companies
